Poll Result and Spring Blend

We asked the question – What is your favourite part of spring.  It looks like the majority of you – resounding 70% – love getting outside.  We can’t say that we’re surprised.  With our long winters – the first signs of spring and the possibility to get outside without the threat of frost bite is a welcome relief.

We’ve swept winter out as well – and now have our Spring Blend on the shelves.  For those of you that haven’t tried it – this is a blend of black tea with all the refreshing flavours of spring – strawberrries, lemon and mixed berries.  It has a nice balance of flavours – and we love making an iced tea out of it as well.

Milk Oolong

We’ve introduced a new tea into our stores and we’re all in love with it – Quangzhou Milk Oolong.  Has anyone else tried this unbelievable tea?  It’s a lightly oxidized oolong – so it has a very light and delicate liquor.  This tea however, smells and tastes like sweet warm milk. The temperature shift during the harvest is what gives this tea its unique quality.  If you haven’t tried it yet – do!  If you have tried it – let us know what you think about it.  It’s my current favourite.

First Flush

We’ve received our first flush teas and we are so excited – we’ve brought in a first flush Darjeeling from the Makaibari estate as well as a first flush Assam – Sewpur – very interesting tea.  Also from the Makaibari estate we have a very rare Oolong and from one of our favourite estates – Margaret’s Hope – we have an unusual white Darjeeling.   For more information on all of these teas – visit our website at www.theteaemporium.com.  Has anyone tried this years first flush teas – we would love to hear your comments.
