James Norwood Pratt at the Tea Emporium!

I am so proud and so excited to announce that this Friday, James Norwood Pratt will be giving a lecture on all things tea at our Eglinton location!

Now for those of you who are not familiar with James Norwood Pratt’s work, here are a few things to help you get up to speed.  James N.P. published his first book on tea in 1982, and is now one of the world’s most widely-red authorities on tea and tea lore. His books have been translated into multiple languages and printed in the US and overseas. One of his most notable works, which received the honorary title of a Best New Publication at the 2010 World Tea expo, “James Norwood Pratt’s Tea Dictionary” is among the top five must have tea books (along with his masterpiece – “Tea lover’s treasury”).  James N.P. was also named an Honorary Director of Imperial Tea Court (America’s first traditional Chinese teahouse) and played a major role in spreading valuable information about Chinese tea and its ways in the West. Mr. Pratt is an honorary spokesman and teacher of all things tea, traveling around the world and continuing to spread the knowledge, educate and consult on tea practices to various tea companies and institutions.

Now if this doesn’t intrigue you, I honestly don’t know what will! I strongly urge all of you to come out and meet the renaissance man of the tea industry himself! James N.P. is one of my life long inspirations and continues to impress, amaze and entertain those in his company – that is a guarantee. I really hope to see you all tea lovers there, so grab a friend and come join us for delicious tea, laughter and an amazing presentation by our honored tea guru guest.
