Pu-Erh traditionally comes from the Chinese province of Yunnan. Although the actual processing of pu-erh is a long kept Chinese secret, we do know that it is a double fermented tea that is aged which contributes to the unique character of this tea. Studies have shown that pu-erh aids in digestion, may help decrease cholesterol and can lower fat content in the blood stream. Pu-Erh, like wine, is the only tea that gains character through aging.
